Shambhala Farm is a boutique yoga studio in Woodstock, Vermont. I’ve become known for my upbeat, fun classes and eclectic teaching style, pairing classic Ashtanga with curated music playlists of pop & rock music. After teaching larger classes for many years, I’ve stripped it back to basics, building a tiny, minimalist studio with my partner Matt on our 34-acre farm. Located just a few minutes from Woodstock Village, my classes are small but mighty, unlike any other yoga you’ve tried. Get ready to rock out and have a great time!

Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga is known as a modern-day interpretation of classical Indian yoga. Created by Sri Tirumalai Krishnamacharya in 1933, Ashtanga yoga is a set series of asanas practiced in proper sequence with attention placed on posture, gaze, and breath. At Shambhala Farm Yoga, we honor this ancient lineage by teaching Ashtanga in a mix of English and traditional Sanskrit. But we also have some damn fun! I incorporate my love of music by including specially curated music playlists.

Yin Yoga

Yin is a slower-paced practice that involves holding yoga postures longer, created by Paul Grilley. Yin yoga is relaxed, contemplative, and targets the deeper connective tissues of the body, like fascia and ligaments. Our Yin classes foster a soothing, chill environment that encourages students to be mindful of their bodies while enjoying gentle, static movement and mellow tunes. It’s time to zen-out!
